Draft Bassetlaw Local Plan 2018-2037: Regulation 18 consultation, November 2020

Bassetlaw District Council is currently consulting all interested parties on the Draft Bassetlaw Local Plan, in accordance with Regulation 18 of The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) 2012. The Council welcomes your views and comments on the content and direction of this document in order to help shape the development of the new Local Plan for Bassetlaw. You are receiving this letter because you have previously expressed an interest
in the Bassetlaw Local Plan.


The Draft Bassetlaw Local Plan details strategic and local policies and site allocations. Once adopted, the Bassetlaw Plan will establish the long-term approach to development in the District up to the 2037 and will replace the current 2011 Core Strategy & Development Management Policies Development Plan Document.

The eight week consultation commences on 25 November 2020 and closes at 5pm on 20 January 2021.

As a result of the current Covid 19 restrictions in place, this will be a mostly virtual consultation. Full details on the Draft Bassetlaw Local Plan can be viewed on the District Council's website: www.bassetlaw.gov.uk/bassetlawplan If you would like more information about the Local Plan or the consultation please phone 01909 533533 and ask for Local Plan line when prompted. Extracts of the Local Plan and copies of the comments form are available on request.

All comments received will be considered and changes made to the Local Plan, where appropriate. All comments received will be reported to the Council's cabinet in Summer 2021 alongside the Publication Draft Local Plan.
