Allotments, Horne Lane
Horne Lane Allotments
Initially a play park ran by the Parish Council when the houses on Horne Lane were built in the early 1990's when the play equipment came to the end of its life in 2009, the Parish Council turned the land into allotments.
The area of the land is 6mtrs wide at the front, 22 mtrs long and widens to 15.7mtrs at the rear.
The site contains 2 plots and has had 2 greenhouses, a plumb tree and a shed installed by previous tenants. The site is now currently let to a new tenant.
The Parish Council is obtaining quotes to replace the front fence and gate to ensure that it is secure and hopes to replace this in due course.
No Plots Currently Available, both Plots Currently let
The rent for the first twelve months will be £20 per plot and the Council expects the tenant to restore the site to a good state.
To be considered for a tenancy please contact the Clerk email [email protected] or for more details.
UPDATE 3rd November 2020
A local resident has come forward and agreed to rent the allotments, the Parish Council's contractor will be refurbishing the allotments over the coming weeks and restoring the entrance fence & gate, the new tenant will then take over both plots, the council are pleased to see the area will be used and hopefully provide plenty of produce for the tenant.
